Here is the motto which explains the pleasure we have to produce this great wine which is the POUILLY FUME.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Situated on the village of SAINT-ANDELAIN, at three kilometers from the city of POUILLY-SUR-LOIRE, our domain was bought in 1951 by my grandfather. It was at the origin of mixed farmings and breeding. It evolved, year after year, to be specialized now in cereals and wines. Even if the vineyard was always present in the estate, my father really developed it in the 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>The current surface of vineyard is\u00a010,85 hectares. Our main production is white wines made from Sauvignon blanc on\u00a010 Ha. We produce three Pouilly Fum\u00e9 with different aromas and taste. Our wines win regularly awards in different national competitions, and mentioned in the specialized guides.<\/p>\n<p>We also produce a second wine from Chasselas grape on 0.35 ha. With this grape we produce our Pouilly-sur-Loire and our quality sparkling wine.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of our plots benefit of the favorable climate brought by the closeness of the Loire. They are mainly facing south-west. They are on three very different soils. The \u00ab Marne Kimm\u00e9ridgiennes \u00bb, also called \u201csmall oysters\u00a0\u00bb, crustaceous fossilized in the quaternary era \u00ab\u00a0. This type of soil gives fruity aromas and citrus notes to the wine. Limestones of Villiers or Argilo-calcaires produces wines more on the white fruit either the floral notes. Finally the flint gives richness and minerality to the wines wines.<\/p>\n<p>Our method of culture is traditional and sustainable. We work the soil to limit the use of weed killers, grow grass in certain plots of land. For the management of our vineyard, technical supports obtained with the local advisers help us a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Our wine making is traditional, we use the thermoregulation of our tanks, to obtain the best fine and fruity aromas of our Sauvignon Blanc. The production (about 600 hectoliters) is sold for 40 % in bottles, 40 % by the Cooperative of POUILLY, and 20% by two friends wine traders.<\/p>\n<p>In the domain, a tasting room is ready to welcome you.
